Painting, oil - 'Stromness Harbour 1941'
Stromness Harbour, depicting Wartime shipping. Snow covered scene. On the right is the Hoy Head which took NAAFI supplies to Scapa Flow. Leaning against the beer barels on the pier is James Harvey, Harbour Master. The dark drifter on the left ferried naval officers. The vessel next to it is a Norwegian Whaler, employed in ferrying escapees from Nazi occupied Norway. The coasters in the background have brought in Army supplies.
