Digital Guided Walk - Blue Plaque Trail

On your way to the museum, why not follow our Blue Plaque Trail, a digital guided walk linking places and people in our town with objects in our collection.

Use the map below, or download our Blue Plaque Trail (PDF). The interactive map is also available in a larger format on Google maps.

Digital Guided Walk - Shoreline Nature Trail

Follow our newest digital guided walk along the shore in Stromness. We begin at the museum and walk around the shoreline to the Old Lifeboat Shed at Ness. We look beyond the walls of the museum to bring you items from our natural history collection, such as plants, seaweeds, birds and shells.  This walk presents the specimens in their natural homes within the landscape.
